


OUR STORY
East Boogie BBQ is more than just barbecue—it’s a legacy. Founded in 2024 by Jonathan Ivy, a classically trained chef who honed his skills in Raleigh’s top dining establishments, this mobile BBQ venture was inspired by his father, James A. Ivy, Sr., a preacher from East St. Louis, IL, and a true pitmaster at heart. Together in 2012, they crafted a jaw-dropping BBQ sauce, but it wasn’t until 2024 that Jonathan perfected the recipe and shared it with Houston Vines of VMG Marketing and Media. Houston was so impressed that he invested as a partner, and East Boogie BBQ was born.
Today, we serve authentic, open-pit barbecue, slow-smoked to perfection. From fall-off-the-bone ribs to perfectly grilled pork steaks and chicken, every bite honors tradition with chef-driven craftsmanship.
